Siclaé originated in 2005 from the desire of five cooperatives from the North-East of France - Champagne Céréales, Nouricia, EMC2, Champagne Coligny and Coopérative Agricole Sézanne - to bring together their interests in the field of bio-based processing within one structure, and to thus create and develop an international agro-industrial group, with regional roots, focused on large-scale farming crops.
Siclaé is a group of agro-industrial companies, each focused on a specific industrial field, most of which are leaders in their markets.
Siclaé is made up of seven subsidiaries: Malteurop, the world’s leading malt producer; NutriXo, a milling company which own the Francine brand and is also specialised in the frozen bakery industry; corn processor Champagne Maïs; starch-glucose processor Chamtor, Regional leader in animal feed NESTAL, which specialises in wheat processing; biorefining with ARD (Agro-industrie Recherches et Développement), a benchmark centre in innovation and value creation from plants; and bioenergies with Ineos Champlor and LMT Oléagineux, which are specialised in the production of biodiesel from rapeseed.
