Our Business

Created in partnership with the industrial manufacturer INEOS Enterprises, the company processes 400,000 tonnes of rapeseed collected in the Champagne-Ardenne / Lorraine regions.

LMT Oléagineux: biodiesel production

LMT Oléagineux is a subsidiary of LMT Coop, a holding company which federates twenty cooperatives around Champagne Céréales: they supply the Mériot crushing factory, which they are shareholders of through LMT Oléagineux.

Our Business

The Mériot crushing factory in the Aube department, which started production in September 2007, processes 800,000 tonnes of rapeseed per year, producing 250,000 tonnes of biodiesel, 560,000 of oilcake, and 420,000 tonnes of crude oil.

Objective: to eventually crush a million tonnes of grain per year, essentially rapeseed.

Our geographical strengths

• Located in the heart of the production zones: Champagne-Ardenne, Bourgogne, Lorraine, and the eastern half of the Parisian basin.
• Supply channel through the Seine: more than half of the diesel consumed in the northern half of France is produced or transits through the downstream zone of the Seine.

Our logistical strengths

• Grain and supply flows are optimised through the use of river (70%) and rail (20%) transportation.
